Buying a Home and Getting Married

So your life is probably stressful enough with planning a wedding, why would you want to add more stress by purchasing a home, right? There are many good reasons why it makes sense to buy a home during this process and why now is the best time to buy. Here are a few reasons why buying a home in Houston makes sense:

With the first time homebuyer tax credit, you receive $8,000. What kind of honeymoon could you go on for $8,000 – a really good one I would think.

In addition to a honeymoon, you can use the credit as you wish. I remember back to my wedding and think of how much an $8,000 credit would have helped make purchasing a home a lot easier.

The process is really not that stressful as long as expectations are set up front. There will be three times that can be stressful, the initial contract negotiation, the inspection and obtaining financing. Other than these three short processes, it is a very simple process

What better way to start your married life than by establishing a home and start investing in your future. Buying a home means you are not wasting money paying rent and starting to put some of that money back in your own pocket.

With the current inventory of existing homes, new homes, and foreclosed homes in Houston and surrounding areas, the historically low interest rates and the deals you can get, it makes the most sense to buy now.

With a wedding comes lots of presents (whether you disagreed on if you needed the bread machine doesn’t matter). What better way to start using them than putting them in your home rather than storing them in your apartment, parents home, etc.

So whether it is before of after your wedding, start investing in your future and let's start the process to find your new home in Houston or surrounding areas. Fill out this form to start your search based on your personal criteria you are looking for.
